Former gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley sentenced to prison

Former GOP gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley was sentenced to 60 days in prison for his involvement in the January 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol.

Kelley pleaded guilty in July to a misdemeanor count of entering and remaining on restricted grounds.

Kelley apologized for his actions during his sentencing hearing.

Judge Christopher R. Cooper said he was concerned about Kelley being "truly remorseful" after the former GOP candidate had called the incident an FBI set-up.

His lawyer says Kelley is done with politics.
