Nonprofit buys mobile home park for housing solution

Family Promise of West Michigan has a goal of putting an end to homelessness.

The nonprofit is investing $7 million to purchase Country Corners Mobile Estates and Eastern Villa Mobile Home Park.

The nonprofit has a program called Partners in Housing that rehabs manufactured homes to turn them into affordable housing options for families.

The revenue brought in from rent from the properties will be reinvested into Family Promise.

The nonprofit is expecting the parks the become profitable in the next year.
