Thieves steal $10,000 in vape pens after crashing into party store

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Police in Grand Rapids say they're looking for several young men who stole $10,000 in vape pens after smashing a minivan through the front door of a Giddings Avenue party store early Tuesday.

Miti-Mini Superette owner Parminder Multani tells WOOD-TV the crash nearly caused an explosion. The vehicle narrowly missed a gas line.

"They just smashed it in there," Multani said.

The Grand Rapids Police Department says it's a "very active investigation." Officers were seen reviewing surveilance footage yesterday.
