GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Polls are now open for Michigan's August primary.

Polls will remain open until 8 p.m.

If you are in a location that is holding an election today, you can view your sample ballot here.

Those who have absentee ballots are being urged to return them to a local clerk before polls close. Voters can also drop their ballot in a drop box in their jurisdiction. At this stage, you shouldn't drop an absentee ballot in the mail.

Many ballots will feature millage renewal questions and municipal elections.
