Suspect in custody after firing shots, ramming vehicle to cause crash

A suspect is in custody after firing shots and purposely ramming into a vehicle near Greenville Monday night.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office says a 26-year-old man and a 36-year-old man got into an argument around 11 p.m. and as the 36-year-old attempted to leave, the 26-year-old fired several shots and then got into a vehicle to chase the victim.

The 26-year-old suspect then rammed the other vehicle intentionally causing a roll over crash.

The suspect is facing charges of felonious assault and reckless discharge of a firearm.

The victim and his passengers have minor injuries from the crash.
