Ground broken on new rental car facility at the Ford Airport

CASCADE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - A groundbreaking was held yesterday on a five-story, $156 million consolidated rental car facility at Ford International Airport.

"Really for us it boiled down to building its own entire facility, all rental cars under one roof," Chief Executive Tory Richardson told WOOD-TV. "It will be completely connected to the terminal, so a seamless journey for the passenger."

Moving rentals out of the main garage will also free up additional parking space.

The new facility is expected to be open within the next two years.
