Second-round ice storm leaves thousands without power in West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Thousands remain in the dark after a second round of icy weather.

Consumers Energy says around 73,000 of its customers were without electricity as of 6:45 a.m. The company's outage map can be accessed here.

Yesterday's storm hit Montcalm, Kent, and Newaygo counties especially hard, with around thirty-seven percent of the utility's customers in Montcalm County losing power.
