MDOT: fuel spill cleanup on US-131 to extend into March

The Michigan Department of Transportation says cleanup of a fuel spill on US-131 near Rockford will continue to March 3.

A tank rolled over on January 24 spilling thousands of gallons of fuel.

Crews projected northbound lane closures would be in place for clean-up through February 17.

Officials say lane closures will continue from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. on weekdays through March 3.
