Grand Rapids Christian apologizes for lunch celebrating Black History Month

Grand Rapids Christian Schools is apologizing after their Black History Month lunch sparked complaints from students.

Grand Rapids Christian High School originally listed Black History Month lunch including fried chicken, mac and cheese, collared greens, cornbread and banana pudding.

The school changed the meal to "Soul Food" after students complained calling the lunch racist.

Superintendent Tom DeJonge sent a letter to parents apologizing the meal had a negative impact on the community.
