OCSO: No known safety reasons for early closure at Patmos Library

JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Ottawa County Sheriff's Captain Jake Sparks says he's not aware of any current dangers against the Patmos Library in Jamestown Township.

Citing staff safety concerns, the library announced a closure on Monday.

Sparks said the library called the sheriff's office about a social media post last week. In that post, someone wanted to "shut down the library by force."

The author of that post, Shane Trejo, later told WOOD-TV he wanted the library closed using "the force of law."
