Kent County to use ARPA money for new affordable housing fund

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Commissioners in Kent County have agreed to spend $17.5 million from the American Rescue Plan on affordable housing.

The county will hire a community development financial institution to give loans to affordable housing projects.

The county received $127 million in ARPA funds.
