A fire destroyed an Ottawa County Fairgrounds historic building just days before the county fair.
Firefighters are working to determine an officials cause for what started the fire at the Park Township Community Center.
Russ Van Kampen says he had left the barn area roughly an hour before the fire started.
No one was hurt.
According to treasurer Laura Cramer, the fair has no events planned inside the building this year, however there were activities scheduled in the area that will be moved.
Cramer says the fire created a loss for the township.
