BYRON TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - The Kent County Sheriff's Office says a homeowner shot and killed a man who tried to break into their house early Thursday morning.
It happened after midnight near 108th Street and Wilson Avenue in Byron Township.
A 39-year-old Middleville man was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say that person may have been involved in at least two overnight vehicle thefts.
Investigators don't believe either person knew each other.
