GRPS updating mask mandate for school-owned buses

Grand Rapids Public Schools will no longer require masks on school buses.

The district announced the update based on changes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Superintendent Leadriane Roby says they still recommend masks on buses for students.

Students who take city transportation are still required to wear masks based on the Transportation Security Administration mandate.
