"Miguel Sub" to Benefit Degage Ministries

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A man who works at Peppino's in downtown Grand Rapids says he'll donate $100 to Degage Ministries if 200 people buy his "Miguel Sub" by Sunday.

Miguel Morales says the shelter was a lifesaver for him when he was homeless.

"Degage helped me a lot and that’s why I’m doing this," Morales said. "You know, (just) trying to give back."

Degage Ministries marketing manager Bob Kreter says Peppino's will match the gift.

The $13 sandwich has turkey, ham, mayo, banana peppers, green peppers, onion, lettuce, tomato and garlic butter.
