Federal Grant to be Used to Hire New Wyoming Police Officers

WYOMING (WOOD-AM) - Wyoming Public Safety says it's going to use a $750,000 grant from the Department of Justice to add six new officers to its community services unit.

The money was accepted during a city council meeting last month.

The department's community service unit currently includes four officers, three school resource officers and a supervisor.
