West Michigan is celebrating Hispanic Heritage month and two Mexican chefs say they are trying to preserve familial and ancient traditions.
MeXo chef Oscar Moreno is putting a modern twist on pre-Hispanic dishes by Aztec and Mayan groups.
Moreno says preserving their history is important.
The staff at El Granjero says they use recipes from generations of family.
