1 The Allendale Twp. Board voted 5-2 last night to leave the Civil War statue up in the Veterans Garden of Honor in Allendale Community Park.
2 Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is proposing a return-to-work incentive for the unemployed. The plan, announced Monday, would give a bonus weekly check of $300 to employees returning to their previous place of employment.
3 Gas prices in Michigan have jumped 15 cents compared to last week, according to AAA. The average gas price is now the highest in 7 years.
Drivers are currently paying an average of $3.17 per gallon for regular unleaded. That is $1.06 more than this time last year.
