1 Changes to restrictions go into effect today.

All outdoor capacity limits are lifted for large outdoor gatherings, sporting events, and concert venues .

Indoor capacity limits are now increased to 50%, and the curfew on bars is lifted.

2 The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled last week that petitions to recall Governor Whitmer can move forward.

The Whitmer campaign plans to appeal the decision, according to campaign spokesperson Mark Fisk. 

“We plan to appeal this disappointing decision and we fully intend to beat back these irresponsible partisan attacks against the Governor

3 Consumers Energy, which provides electricity to more than half of Michigan residents, will raise the cost of electricity during peak hours this summer.

From 2 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, customers will pay about 50% more for their electricity.
