Judge denies request to void charge, fines for Marlena's bistro

A judge is denying the request of Marlena Pavlos-Hackney to have her charge voided and fine returned.

Pavlos-Hackney was jailed for not complying with COVID-19 orders at her restaurant Marlena's Bistro and Pizzeria.

Her legal team was trying to have her contempt of court charge thrown out and have her $15,000 fine returned.

The state says Pavlos-Hackney can have her license restored if she follows COVID protocol.
