The city of Kalamazoo is proposing a budget of $213.9 million for 2021.
The budget is 5.3% higher than the current fiscal year.
Wastewater infrastructure upgrades, road funding and improvements to the Kalamazoo Farmers Market are among project the city has planned.
The budget is backed by the Foundation For Excellence which is an endowment funded by private donations.
