WML Monday: GM Strike, Saudi Arabia Oil Attacks, & 3 Missing Kids

Patrick DeHaan joins to discuss gas prices after the oil strikes in Saudi Arabia, strikes are happening against GM, and three kids go missing in Ottawa County.

1 The union's 46,000 hourly workers walked out at 31 GM factories and 21 other facilities across nine states. It's the first work stoppage in the US auto industry in 12 years. 

The union said GM was putting profits ahead of the employees who helped save the company after it went through bankruptcy and a federal bailout a decade ago. GM said it's made a substantial offer that includes better pay and profit sharing for union members. Both sides are set to meet later this morning.

 The UAW earlier egreed to contract extensions with Ford and Fiat Chrysler. 

2 Attacks on Saudi Oil could effect your money

The coordinated strikes on key Saudi Arabian oil facilities knocked out half of the country's oil capacity,more than 5 million barrelsa day. That's about 5% of the world's daily global oil supply, sooil prices shot up. Yemen's Houthi rebels said they're responsible for the attacks, but some say the more likely culprit is either Iran or Iraq.

3 The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office has issued an Endangered Missing Advisory 3 children. 

 4-year-old Nicholas Smith, 10-year-old Kaidence Enriquez and 8-year-old Walter Enriquez.

The sheriff’s office said they are believed to be with their biological mother Kristen Enriquez and her boyfriend Jamichael Smith. They were last known to be driving a 2006 gray Volkswagen Passat with Michigan license plate DVW5016.
