1  NWS - A few rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through Tuesday afternoon. The heavier amounts, over an inch, is expected north and west of Grand Rapids. Large waves and strong currents on Lake Michigan will make swimming and walking on piers dangerous Tuesday and Wednesday.

WOODTV - TODAY Mostly cloudy with a chance of a morning shower. Scattered showers and an isolated t-storm for the afternoon and evening Highs will be in the low-mid 70s with a southeast wind at 10-20 mph.

Rain in the forecast tonight and tomorrow morning.

2 China says it’s ready to negotiate after Trump tariffs tank Asian markets. 

China signaled on Monday it was now seeking a "calm" end to its ongoing trade war with the U.S., as Asian markets crumbled and China's currency plummeted to an 11-year low following the latest tariffs on $550 billion in Chinese goods announced last Friday by the Trump administration.

3 Ice has decided to let its contract with the Kent County jail run out.
