'Wheel of Fortune's' host to chair Board of Trustees at Hillsdale College

(via Detroit Free Press) -- Pat Sajak, known as the host of "Wheel of Fortune," will be rising to chairman of the Board of Trustees at Hillsdale College, according to a Facebook post the college made Saturday.

Sajak has been vice president of the board and is replacing current chairman William Brodbeck, who is stepping down, according to the post.

“Pat is a brilliant mind. He brings a sound knowledge of the school,” Brodbeck told the Hillsdale student newspaper, The Collegian. “He can dramatically move Hillsdale forward, both on campus and around the country.”

As for his decision to step down, Brodbeck told The Collegian that it was time, but that he plans to continue living in Hillsdale with his wife, Jan, and contributing to the school.

Hillsdale College is an independent, liberal arts college about 110 miles southwest of Detroit, with a student body of about 1,400, according to its website.
