Developers cut ribbon on Grand Rapids' Diamond Place

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A new development along Grand Rapids’ bustling Michigan Street corridor is officially complete.

Developers Thursday celebrated the newly finished Diamond Place project with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  The $42 million development sits  on the northeast corner of Michigan Street and Diamond Avenue at the former site of Proos Manufacturing.

Diamond Place features apartments, a parking ramp that can fit 240 vehicles.  The development also includes ground floor retail space that’s home to a Gordon Food Service Marketplace grocery store and Ginza Sushi & Ramen Bar. Tropical Smoothie is slated to open at the site early next year.
