GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) —  Grand Rapids hot spot Maru Sushi is facing a federal lawsuit for allegedly not properly paying its employees.

The three-page lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids lists 148 employees from at least four different locations in Grand Rapids, East Lansing, Okemos and Midland. Maru also has a Kalamazoo restaurant that was not named in the lawsuit.

The lawsuit accused Maru owner Robert Song of paying workers less than minimum wage, not paying overtime, and not keeping adequate time records.
