BALTIMORE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The search for a teen runaway missing for three weeks is over.

In a Tuesday update, the Barry County Sheriff's Office reported 16-year-old Michelle Winchell has been located and reunited with her family.

Winchell was previously last seen on Sept. 9 when she was dropped off in Kalamazoo to visit a friend. When it was time to be picked up, she didn’t show up.

Winchell had last had contact with family on Sept. 10.

Authorities said she had friends in Kalamazoo near Western Michigan University’s campus, but did not elaborate as to where she was found.
