28th Street Metro Cruise returns with cars, food and fun

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Classic cars will be rolling down one of Kent County’s busiest corridors this weekend as the 28th Street Metro Cruise returns for its 14th year.

The Wyoming-Kentwood Area Chamber of Commerce founded the cruise in August 2005 as a way to lure business to the thoroughfare when M-6 opened. Since then, the two-day event has grown to attract 275,000 or more visitors and more than 15,000 unique vehicles.
