GANGES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Allegan County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man who was hit by a vehicle while lying in the road.
It happened around 3:20 a.m. Thursday on 66th Street between 119th and 129th avenues in Ganges Township, south of Douglas.
The sheriff's office said the man sustained a severe head injury and died at the scene.
Authorities think the man had been drinking. They added he was wearing dark clothes and would have been difficult for drivers to see.
His name was not released later Thursday.
