Drowning victim's girlfriend found in Lansing

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A young woman who police were looking for because they were concerned she was suicidal has been found in Lansing.

Lansing Township police told WOOD TV8's sister station WLNS that 21-year-old Danielle Martinez was found at the Lansing City Market around 7:15 p.m. Monday. She had apparently overdosed and was hospitalized, but is expected to survive.

Jeremiah Diaz, 20, of Lansing, died Sunday after going under the water at Grand Haven State Park.  Diaz and Martinez were reportedly dating, and authorities believed Martinez was suicidal due to Diaz's death.
