GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Over 350 players are in Grand Rapids to compete in a four-day pickleball tournament at Belknap Park.
The field for the Beer City Open includes about 20 of the top-ranked players in the United States, which makes for some of the best competition in the region.
"This might be the No. 1 field that we will have the entire year of any tournament in the Midwest," said Dave Weinbach, a professional pickleball player. "What a tremendous opportunity to come out here to Belknap Park this weekend and see some of the best pickleball you will see in the entire country."
