CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — More than 1,000 homes and businesses in West Michigan were without power Tuesday morning after storms rolled through the area, packing some strong winds.
The largest power outage was in the Caledonia Township area where 480 customers were affected, according to Consumers Energy’s outage map.
The utility company says trees are to blame for that outage, as well as outages in Montcalm County and just west of Sparta in Kent County.
As of 11:45 a.m., only spotty outages remained in Kent, Ottawa, Barry and Allegan counties.
