UM, MSU, WMU, CMU, Ferris players picked in draft

DALLAS (WOOD) — Several players from Michigan colleges have been taken in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Western Michigan’s Chukwuma Okorafor was the first player from the state to be drafted when the offensive tackle went to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Round 3 on Friday.

Michigan center Mason Cole was also selected in the third round by the Arizona Cardinals.

On Saturday, Michigan State center Brian Allen was taken in Round 4 by the Los Angeles Rams.

The first defensive player from the state was Michigan defensive tackle Maurice Hurst, who will be playing his rookie season for the Oakland Raiders.\
