Former MSU football players take plea deal in CSC case

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — Three former Michigan State University football players facing sexual assault charges have entered a plea deal.

WILX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Lansing, reports Josh King, Donnie Corley and Detric Vance have all pleaded guilty to a seduction charge, a felony that carries a maximum of five years in prison. The charges stem from a January 2017 incident at an apartment on MSU’s campus.

Each of them will be sentenced under Michigan’s Holmes Youthful Trainee Act, which will keep criminal convictions off their public record if they meet certain conditions.

All three were facing third-degree criminal sexual conduct charges, and King was facing a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge prior to the plea agreement.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on June 6.
