GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A second parking lot just south of Van Andel Arena is set to close Monday as a major construction project is underway.
Area 5 lot on Oakes Street SW will close April 9 to make way for the $140-million Studio Park development. The neighboring Area 4 lot was closed on Wednesday, March 7.
With the permanent closures of the two lots, the city is reminding drivers of the more than 9,000 parking spaces available in lots around downtown.
