KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo police have released a photo of a person of interest in the shooting death of a man near Western Michigan University’s campus.
Kalamazoo police say this man is a person of interest in a homicide that happened in the 800 block of Oakland Drive (Courtesy: Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety).
The shooting happened at 2:15 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Oakland Drive. When police arrived, they found the 21-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.
Police have not identified the victim. However, they say they do not believe he was a student at the university.
