(via WOOD-TV/AP) -  A 28-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen from Afghanistan is in custody after shooting a police officer in New Jersey, a source tells NBC 4 in New York.

Ahmad Rahami was taken into custody Monday morning, according to the NBC affiliate, which also says Rahami’s fingerprint was found on an unexploded device.

In a news conference just before 11:30 a.m. Monday, President Barack Obama said investigators saw no connection to the bombings and the Minnesota stabbings.
