The charges against the wife of a GOP big shot accused of domestic violence were not dropped in KentCounty this week. But Erica Yob will not go to jail either. She has been granted permission to join a diversionary program. During the six month program she must stay away from alcohol and wear a tether than constantly checks her for alcohol use. If she keeps her nose clear, her public arrest record will be erased, though it will remain on the books for police and prosecutors to see. Last week similar charges against Mrs. Yob were dropped all together in Charlevoix county where the prosecutors said she had had " a wakeup call."
