Wind Damages Could Be Covered By Loans

The Small Business Administration has announced that Michigan residents and businesses affected by the severe flooding, hail and high winds on April 12-30, can apply for low-interest disaster loans.

The declaration covers Newaygo and Osceola counties and the adjacent counties of Clare, Isabella, Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Missaukee, Montcalm, Muskegon, Oceana and Wexford in Michigan.

Loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. Homeowners and renters are eligible for loans up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property, according to SBA officials.
