A former Western Michigan University student has been charged with making threats last year about a campus shooting.

A grand jury returned an indictment against Timothy Siangdun, accusing the 44-year-old of posting threats on the school's Facebook site as well as two others in August 2013.

Siangdun was an electrical engineering student at the time but no longer is a student. Reached by phone, Siangdun declined to talk in detail about the allegations, saying it's a `long story.''

Roland says Siangdun's alleged threats didn't lead to a public warning to people on campus because it was determined that he was miles away near Battle Creek.
