The man arrested after the double-shooting Tuesday afternoon in Muskegon is not charged with the murder.

The man's lawyer tells the Muskegon Chronicle his client will not be charged with the killing.

That man is Derrick Golden, who does face a weapons charge and may end up in prison as a repeat offender.

His lawyer says Golden actually tried to stop the street fight.

Reportedly the police know who the shooter is.  Five other people have been arrested and one still is being looked for.

Alexis Brown had been shot in the stomach Tuesday afternoon and died at the hospiotal.  A 33-year old mother, Carmesha Rogers, was shot in the head nearby while trying to shield her children.

Reportedly, police found numerous shell casings around the scene on Monroe, near Fifth.
