Salmonella Bacteria Outbreak in Muskegon County Raises Concerns
Posted November 13th, 2013 @ 4:16am by WOOD Radio News Team

A salmonella bacteria outbreak has sickened 15 people in Muskegon County and the Health Department has not found the source of the problem yet.

Salmonella can give you diarrhea for as long as a week and even fever, which does not start until somewhere between half-a-day and 3 days after infection.

Salmonella usually comes from food, like raw chicken or milk or cheese.

The Health Department advises washing your hands frequently.
