GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — With only five months to go until the world’s largest art competition begins, ArtPrize officials have announced a big change to this year’s voting process.

Instead of keeping the public voting separate from that of the art critics, the 2017 finalists will all end up back in the same pool.

Here’s how it works: During the first round of voting, 20 finalists will be chosen by the public and 20 finalists will be chosen by an expert jury.
