Muskegon officials said Wednesday multiple charges, including possession of narcotics, are pending against a motorcyclist involved in a wreck.
A 52-year-old Muskegon resident laid down his bike to avoid a collision on East Sherman Blvd. at Harris St. with a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old resident from Grand Haven.
The Muskegon Police Department said the driver of the motorcycle was driving his vehicle without the necessary endorsements. Initially uncooperative, the 52-year-old man allowed first responders to remove his foot from his boot to treat injuries sustained during the wreck.
"Concealed inside of the motorcyclist’s boot was a quantity of an illicit narcotic substance," the police department said.
Police say the driver of the motorcycle faces charges for possession of narcotics and for operating without a cycle endorsement. The 58-year-old was cited for a right-of-way violation and released.
