An all day standoff ended at dark last night when a Morley man finally surrendered to police.  He was wanted initially for domestic violence, but also had warrants for a slew of felonies.

They day long stalemate took place in rural Mecosta county near Monroe and 125th avenue.

The suspect, well known to police for a violent temper was holed up inside his girl friends home.

Around 8:30 a.m police surrounded the place and he sent out a message saying “I have guns for cops if they come.”  The SWAT team eventually surrounded the place and evacuated neighbors.  As evening came off police fired eight tear gas canisters into the home.   Eventually the suspect wore down and gave himself up.   He will be in court later today.
