Arizona's Governor vetoed the legislation in her state that would have allowed denial of service to people who are Lesbians, Gays and other non-traditional sexual orientations, for religious reasons.

Equality Michigan, the lobbying group promoting acceptance of gay rights in this state, declares the Arizona veto is a win for its cause.

Although there are 32 communities with local laws giving special legal rights to LGBT people in Michigan, there is no state law singling them out for special anti-discrimination protection.

Emily Dievendorf tells WOOD TV that such people are "regularly" fired, harassed, and denied places to rent. She claims that people adhering to traditional sexual values "can be very dangerous."
