Michigan Apple Farmers expect one of the largest harvests this fall in state history.  They expect to pick 29 million bushels.  Diane Smith with the state Apple Committee says the size of apples this year is incredible and the quality is great.

29 million bushels would be just under the all time record of 30 million set last year.  It will also push Michigan ahead of New York state in terms of over all production.

Washington state is number one in the nation.  It grows twice as many apples as Michigan and New York combined.
