A woman was attacked by dogs in Holland Township this morning as she walked her own dog.

Ottawa County Central Dispatch tells WOOD Radio the Sheriff's Department and AMR ambulance were called in just before 9 a.m. to Railyard Drive.  WOOD TV reports two dogs came after the woman's pet and responding officers shot at the animals. One pit bull lunged at an officer on scene, the other came out from under a porch during the scene search.  One of the animals was killed, the other went to a veterinarian for care.

The woman was taken for treatment of minor wounds, her dog was also hurt.
