West Michigan native Americans celebrated their culture in the annual Homecoming of the Three Fires.

It was the 35th year that the Ottawa, Chippewa and Potawatomi tribes were brought together.

Many wore traditional clothing for the event at the Grand Rapids Riverside Park.

WOOD TV says the Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians can trace their history back hundreds of years along this river.
